Any solution for the Parrot volume issue?

I read where some were having problems with the volume while using the Parrot Bluetooth.

I ordered the Parrot kit from newministuff.com and had the same issue you mentioned; that the volume wasn't loud enough when using the kit and that the stereo's volume controls didn't adjust the volume of the kit. I went through 3 wiring harnesses and 2 kits (CK3000 and finally the EVO) before I received the right combination of harness (one that puts the stereo in "PHONE" mode but doesn't prevent the use of the volume buttons) and kit (the EVO is much better than the CK3000).

All I have for Mike at newministuff is total praise for working with me through the whole thing. The final product is a really neat (as in clean) harness and the EVO kit that displays "PHONE" on the H/K headunit as well as on the NAV screen when in a call. The H/K volume controls on the headunit and on the steering wheel work as expected, and the Talk and Hangup buttons on the steering wheel also work as expected. Everything is working great for me.

Which kit/harness do you have?

I don't have one yet. I will be ordering from Mike today. Thank you for the feedback. I will be able to discuss this with him to get the correct harness.

Thanks!

I have the same kit that places the radio in phone mode and I can turn the volume up and down but not from the radio, only from the Parrot. The volume is still not the best.

That's the same problem I had in the first and second versions of the harness. The current harness allows me to use the MFSW and headunit volume controls to adjust the speaker sound of the kit. Talk to Mike as he was very attentive and helpful in resolving my issue.

We have a 2004 Mini with regular Parrot ck3000 and ministuff harness.
One problem we have is people on the other side complain about voice quality and noise coming from the MINI.
Originally we placed the MIC in the top left corner of the windshield....it was very noisy when driving at 60-70mph, then I relocated it in between speedometer an tach, right in the middle there. It got better, but still not very good.
Any suggestions? Is there a better MIC I can get?

I have the EVO kit because the volume not be adjustable was a limitation of the CK3000. As for the microphone; I put it in the upper-left corner of the windshield and aside from having to close my windows and roof when driving at high speed, I have had no complaints about audio quality.

That's strange, I can adjust volume OK. But the quality sucks...
