Truck Switch?

I have seen some comments about problems with the trunk switch in roof operation. We are waiting on delivery of our MCSc and was hoping someone could give us a description of the problem and fixes.

Thank you in advance

In order for the roof to go down, the rear cargo cover has to be in the lower position. There is a small solenoid switch that tells the computer that there is enough room in the boot to store the roof, and if the cargo cover is in the upper position, the solenoid is open, and the roof won't go all of the way down. It WILL go back to the "moon roof" position, but no further.

That what you are talking about?

Yes that is what I was wondering about despite my mispelling... no I wasn't looking to turn the cabrio into a pick-up!

I have a cabrio loaner right now... where would i find the switch?

Open the boot and reach up and push the tray up. Then run your hand to the rear edge where you'll feel a part that sticks down 1.5 or 2 inches. That's what activates the switch.

There are also 2 (one on each side) lever (under the switch described above) that releases the rear of the canvas. If you pull the levers towards the center of the trunk opening, you'll also de-activate the top, and it will allow the back of the top to be lifted.
