06+ MCS with JCW line option in ASP!

Hey guys,

Please write a quick letter asking the SEB to class the 06 Mini Cooper S with a JCW line option in DSP.

Apparently, the 02-05 aftermarket JCW kit was placed in ASP as a concession to allow for Mini's with the JCW to compete in ASP rather than SM where they would have been placed otherwise since the aftermarket kit replaced SP illegal parts. Its too bad, because NOW, the factory optioned JCW's are placed in ASP, even though they are supposed to fit into DSP otherwise.

Please send a quick letter asking that the 06 MCS with JCW line item option be placed in DSP since its been pulled into ASP by a classing concession on an aftermarket kit, nothing more, nothing less, keep it a quick simple email, they like that I'm told. :-))) Email to...........

SEB@SCCA.COM

Thanks alot for anyone who does send the quick letter.

Craig Wilcox

I have no doubt that they will place it in DSP, but, I need it to happen within a 45 days.

Andy Hollis posted on another forum. He confirmed my original thought that the JCW MCS is already in DSP. It will be clarified in the next Fastrack, so, thats great news. It looks like our letters helped spur this clarification if I had to guess. Thanks!!!

Uh, I thought it was in BS??? Much better than a SP class...now if they would let the pre 06 JCW's in a class other than ASP

April Fastrack puts pre-06 JCW cars into DSP via the update/backdate allowances.

JCW Pulley on Mini S legal in DSP?

Is simply changing to a JCW specification SC pulley on Mini S legal now in DSP per Update/backdate provisions??

No, you have to do the full package conversion, except for the parts that can be changed under the SP allowances: Springs, Sway bars, wheels, etc.

so - head, SC & Injectors?

thanks for the reply... so does that mean, you could just do the JCW supercharger, injectors & head (since exhaust & intake are allowed in SP) ???

Do a search on OasisTan's STX/DSP buildup. There are some issues with the intake (at least for STX)
