For Us Convertible Owners......

It would be nice to have a thread of JUST convertible owners.

It doesn't matter if it's Cooper or Cooper S

It would also be nice to see any mods done to your convertible
Inside/Outside/Engine/Bling
A brief description would help too..

Pictures are Imperative,

thanks everyone
let the fun beggin

regards,
Charles

Open to it

Give it up for the Convertibles and cabrio, whatever your term.
They have tried this before but nothing came from it.
And how much bling is a factor, unless your like the blacked out look?

It won't be long till the top can be down. Unless you live in a warm climate like SoCal or Florida.

Ahh, a topless thread...

Any excuse to post pics of my car in another thread!

Most major details are in the sig... Except details like tint and painted calipers ;-)

Here's my MCSC. One of the pics is last winter. Haven't had much open motoring in the last few months. I can't wait till it gets warm again.

List of Mods:
Aux input
Infinity Basslink
White boot stripes
shorty antenna
Ro_ja 17" LT5's in white (on order)

Awesome pics everyone

Thanks for taking the time mmatarella, Meg and am0eba

1. mmatarella: I though you couldn't do Solo One with a Cabrio
What are the requirements?
Don't you need to have a Roll Bar?
Nice Looking Cabrio

2. Meg: I can't bear looking at picture #2
I enter the car thru the back door to my room
until stops snowing ( )
I see that you have the boot stripes like me
I love black (it was my second option)

3. am0eba: Are those rims 16"?
They look terrific
Never seen a Yellow Cabrio S before locally
love driving? (kool)

Here are a few of mine
Just got it 4 months ago and
have done very little to it.
but,
the next thing I will do to is the Aero Kit,
the Webb Stage 2 Kit plus the R90's

Any comments on what are you doing to yours next?

Thanks again
regards,
Charles

My People! My Thread!

Here in Northern California we've had a warm spell this week, so there were many lunchtime top-down motors enjoyed.

Speaking of bling, I am crazy for the faux-wood veneer dash. I went back to my "You-i-fication" book and looked at options. Don't ask me why, I think it would look great in my BRG/GR with a lovely wooden shifter ****.

Check out this sample at Ebay (where there are several NICE cabrios on the off-season block): http://tinyurl.com/74nyk.

What do you think?
Cheers!
Teri

Rev. Limiter, check your PMs.

Mastersonics, yeah those wheels are 16"x7" Konig "Holes" in graphite. I got them to replace the 17" 5-spoke "Bullet" wheels from MINI because the uneven freeway slabs here in Southern California were too rough on my passengers!

mmatarella,
Those Wet Okole seats look great. How do you like them? I'd love to get some if they can get a close match to LY.

Here's mine. I already posted this in the jet black thread. I see that jet black cabrio's are pretty popular.

Thanks. Probably right re: the roll bar. I was on a track day driving school though and it wasn't required for that. If I progressed into their racng program I'd need a approved roll bar.

For a sig... You type in it in your profile under signature. If you're talking about the grahic ones, after you create the graphic in you fav editor you save it to the web somewhere. Can be your gallery here. Then in your sig editing thingie here on NAM you click the insert picture icon and enter the complete URL to the pic.

The above response should help. FYI, click on 'quick links'. There will be an option to edit your signature there.
