Hello all, I have an 05 MCS CR/B and now my wife wants a MINI, but the color she wants is Mint Green. Oh and by the way she wants an automatic. Anyone know of this rare combination being available anywhere?

 

The closest to "mint green" is Silk Green and it's very rare. Only made in '02 or '03. They did make them in auto, as it was only available in the MC not the S. I'd wait till the new colors come out for '07 and see what's there. I wouldn't expect too much like a mint green, though. Seems like MINI's trying to stay away from any colors that might be considered "girly"

 

Opps sorry. I am tired tonight. I meant Silk Green. I did find one at a MINI dealer in Pittsburg and it was automatic. It was already sold though. Hope springs eternal.

Yeah I can understand why they want to stay away from girly colors. I got a friend who calls my MINI a chick car even after I took him on a ride that set his hair on fire. - lal

 

do you have any idea how many times my friends all say my mini is a chick car? and i have DS!

 

I wouldn't call Silk Green a girly color just cuz it was discontinued. There are LOTS of cool colors MINI discontinued...or is it because I'm prejudiced, as well as PRIVILEGED to own one?
