After a faulty pulley install, i unfortunatly had to install a new supercharger. It was installed last week, and I kept easy on the car, under 3k rpm, until everything settled in. I finally got on it a little bit last night. As soon as I hit about 4200 rpm...there was a loud air sound, almost like a blowoff valve noise. It also felt like I was losing boost. What went wrong with the install?

 

boot blew off the intercooler ?

 

I just spoke to Peter from M7, and he seems to think its the supercharger bypass valve. I'll bring it by MINI, and see if they'll replace it with the newer one.
