Extended Maintenance Agreement

If this has been covered, I apologize. I searched several different times using different combinations, reading the results, but been unable to find an answer.

Is the extended maintenance agreement worth $599? I'm 2 thousand miles away from mine ending (at 36k miles) and was wondering if this is a good deal or not. I was quoted right around $450 for the schedule 2 service by the dealer today.

Any help, comments or concerns are appreciated.

I'm wondering about the same thing also. Seems like it only matches the bumper to bumper waranty which is 4 year or 50,000 miles which ever comes first. From what I gather, the extra coverage only entails one service visit.

So if that's the case then, what consists of that extra service and how much it costs.

We had it on our 03 MCS and it paid for a new clutch and new brakes and rotors. For that it was well worth it.

SingMCS - do you mean the extra maintenance or an extended warranty?

I'm talking about the extended maintenance agreement, not the warranty.

We bought it and just this week it paid for a new radiator and hose that had a pinhole in it. Also, apparently the 45k checkup is a big one with some cost associated with it (if you don't have the extended maintenance agreement.
