Six weeks and $4,600 later

Some of you may recall that my car was hit by a Toyota 4Runner, taking-out the driver's side. Well, I got the car back from the body shop today (SIX weeks later). It looks as good as new. I will post pictures tomorrow.

The issues I notice that the body shop is going to need to deal with are:

1. The gap at the trailing edge of the rear window (by the hatch opening) is not exactly the same on both sides
2. The driver's window goes further down then the passenger's window

Considering it got a new front quarter panel, new door and new rear inner and outer fenders that is not so bad I think. I can't tell you how nice it was to open the sunroof, crank the HK, and listen to/feel my pulley and intake... I really missed my car!

What a great christmas present to have my baby back!!!!!

Thanks. My 6 year old son and I were very lucky not to be hurt. Thanks to the great handling of the Mini, I was able to swerve enough to avoid a straight head-on with the SUV. The only thing hurt was my car

But hey... that can be (and in fact WAS) fixed. All that really matters is that nobody was hurt.

I've had to do w/o my MINI on several occasions....I understand how great it is to have your car back!! I'm sure the body shop will iron out the details w/ dispatch. It's good that you're going over it carefully.
