Another MINI Benefit

Just fooling around this evening and thought I would see if it was possible to squeeze two MINI's into one garage parking space. After many years of service aboard aircraft carriers where the aircraft are wedged into every available space I knew a little about maximizing parking space....but still, I was surprised to see that it actually worked. Cracked myself up. Now my four car garage is a six car garage thanks to the MINI's size.

Corvettes. A 98 Indy Pace Car and a 2004 Commemorative Edition Z06. The MCS is my favorite car of the bunch (it's my daily driver and autocross weapon).

Not much of a comparison, but I've squeezed two MINIs end to end in one side of ours before. Now, I've got Mel sideways in front of my wife's car so that I can pull my truck in the other side and not have to worry about cleaning snow/ice off it each morning.

So, between squeezing 3 cars, 4 extra sets of wheels and tires, the tractor and its attachments, a bunch of tools, the BBQ grill and other summer items, etc., etc., etc. all into our 2 car garage - it's kinda tight quarters. :impatient

All things considered, however, I can still walk around everything. I just have to use a little extra caution.

Get rid of that American iron and get some proper classic Minis, then you can have an 8-10 car garage!

Mini2Go, if my garage was a foot deeper I could do end to end....but I could never squeeze all the stuff you have in yours into 2 spots. I have to put all my spare tires/wheels up in the attic....

It's a rare in this day and age to find someone who actually uses their garage to store cars in !! good going

I think I'm one of the only people in my neighborhood to actually park my cars in the garage and not turn them into a stoarge bays.

That is something I can't understand. While I have a fair bit of stuff in mine, the day when I can't get the cars in is the same day I either start throwing away a bunch of *****, build a shed, get a rent-a-space, or build my new house with a bigger garage!

My neighbors thought no one lived at our house until they happened to see us cleaning the MINI one day, because we park in our garage lol.

It's funny you talk about storage.

1/4th of my side of the garage (in the back) was taken to expand the TV room (by a previous owner). The best thing about it is I can still fit the MINI in the garage WITH my wife's motorcycle behind it (Buell Blast) AND WITH my motorcycle next to it (BMW R1100RS) AND I can still open both doors and the boot.

You gotta love a small car...
