Hey guys. I have been really busy laty so I have not had a chance to post. I will be going to the 2006 Dragon. I am still planing on going as something crazy as i did last year. If you could give me some more info as o what i need to sign up for and register. That would be great help thinks to all.

I am planning on driving up to the Dragon on Thursday afternoon. More details later. It's way too early for me to be thinking about that right now.

 

Just can't ever make iot for this... We go visit Mickey in Florida every year for the first 10 days of May... too bad!

 

I wanted to let you guys know that M2C2 has been invited to participate in Mayfest on Saturday May 6 in Asheville. This is a Western NC British Car Club event and I am planning on driving over from the Dragon that day and attending. Any of our other members who want to "tag along" are welcome to join me. I think it will be a fun event and of course, Fontana is not that far from Asheville, maybe 11/2 hours. I haven't yet decided if I'll be returning to the Dragon after this event. If not, I'll have a room available for Saturday night at the Fontana Inn.

I think that I am going to put my name in the hat now. This looks to be a non-miss event, eventhough I am going to be there with my bone stock '06. It will be great to meet lots of fellow Mini owners and see what kind of good stuff can be done to our rides.

 

I got a tent spot at fontana village. Its 13.50 a night for a camping spot.. It fits 2 tents... ITs cheap and going to be fun.. I haven't camped out in forever... See you there man.... Hey i have a pretty bone stock 06 MCS too. All i have is a exhaust pulley reduction and AGS intake.. Thats all i am doing... Then adding some more fogs.... Good luck. I am attempting to gauge interest in a possible activity for our club members while at the Dragon. The Lost Sea is the largest underground lake in the US. It is in Sweetwater Tenn. via the Cherohalla Skyway. It's about an hour drive from Fontana. They do boat tours of the lake and caverns. It looks like each boat holds maybe 20-25 and the tours last about 1 hour. The cost is about $11 per person. I'm only looking for interest from m2c2 members to avoid huge numbers of people signing up. If we did this, it would be on Friday morning and we'd be back early Friday afternoon. I'll be discussing this more at the meeting in Columbia on 3/18 but I'm trying to get an idea who might be interested at this point. If you want more info. go to www.thelostsea.com.

OK y'all, it's official. I'm reg'd and looking forward to this.

I can't believe that there is this few ( from upstate SC ) that is going. I think I may do the tent thing too - Spike,( if it comes to it ) but, having a hot shower and a bed is very nice. If anyone has a spare spot ( split $, of course ), PM me with the details. I'm not a big person, so I won't take up much space.

As of right now, I will leaving after work on Thurs. So I would need 3 nights.

ITs always good to camp every now and then... Its a guy thing i gues... Its cheap, theres a lake down the road, just bring a bar of soap and some towels.. I like to rough it, thats all.. **** i am still young 23 yrs old. It brings back memorys. I will only be there 2 night though.. If you are going to be there 3 nights, then i would maybe get a room, but tent spots are a hell of alot cheaper.. Just cutting money where ever i can... Good luck man.... Spike

 

I will prolly make the cruise up on Saturday like I did last year. I might even get Trainmama to go this time! With the Dragon being in our back yard, I just feed off of everyone else's enthusiasm!
