TCE Rear Hoses- TECH info

If you have purchased and or installed a rear rotor kit from TCE please review (or have someone help you look) the rear hoses.

Later cars have a direct thread into the caliper body. You guys are fine.

Early (and maybe now some later cars?) have an M12 banjo fitting into the caliper. If you were supplied the hoses WITH banjo fittings there was a production change to this banjo by Goodridge.

The proper size banjo measures .485 (12,3) thick. The INCORRECT part measures .567 (14,4) thick. Using the thick part there is not enough thread engagement into the caliper body with the factory banjo bolt.

The thin parts are known to be yellow finish and the thick parts are silver.

If you have the thick, silver banjo on your car now and did NOT change the banjo bolt this could lead to a serious line failure. TCE has longer M12 banjo bolts coming and can ship them to you yet this week. Please contact me so we can make arrangements to get you the proper banjo bolts if you require them.
