Creak and squeak hunting.. How to remove plastic?

How do i remove the oval piece of plastic around the sunroof controls in my 02 Mini CooperS without breaking the trim?

Im referring to the black oval piece which has two smaller ovals on it. One for the roof, and the other to make it look symetrical from what i gather. I have a nasty hum/vibrating sound inside there when the car hits certain RPMS and want to pull the black piece off, fix it, and put together.

Thanks in advance

I have the same rattle/buzz/creak. The dealership "fixed" it last winter, but it's back. The cold weather seems to bring it on.

I hope someone can tell us how to remove that panel -- although I don't know how to fix the noise once the panel is off. What were your thoughts on that?

The dash board is known to make noises.

check out this link.

This doesnt have anything to do with the upper panel making noise but i thought it could help for other noises.
