Just got my new coco mats!

And they are absolutely stunning! I got the black with white dots and they look great. I saw an earlier thread where people were asking if the black stood out too much against the "grey" carpeting. The coco mats take up almost all of the floor space, so there is no noticable color change. I really like the look and feel of them.

here's where I got them

I just put them in last night. My husband said he knows I've gone over the edge with this car because he found me in the garage in the freezing cold vacuuming out El Kabong before I would put in the new mats! I'm hoping the weather will hold and I can get some pics when I get home this afternoon.

Just tell him that you have been certified as a gen-you-wine car-guy! And a MINI car guy at that. We have been known to do strange things at times.

Don't you mean a gen-u-wine car GAL?

So glad you love the Cocomats. I have a set of Black w/ Blue dots in my car and absolutely love them. They wear so much better than the OEM floor mats and, like the Whalen, are worth the extra $$.

indimini - you are absolutely right. But I didn't start this asexual thing with "guy".

BoCRon, I apologize.

Hey, sorry I never got the pics done. The day after I posted was when I got the ABS/tire warning light and had to drop El Kabong in for service. They ended up keeping him through the weekend (the one I had set aside for Zaino and pictures!) and I just got him back home last night! And now we have rain again GRRRRRRR!!!!!
Anyway, I'll try again to get decent pics during daylight. I did take some pics but it was at night in the garage and the pics turned out kind of blueish!

Those look good in there. I had a red and black set in a TR-4 years ago. Are yours rubber backed?

Yes, rubber-backed with heavy-duty nibs to prevent sliding. The nibs combined with the weight of the mats guarantees that these will stay put.

Ok, if everyone can forgive my less than mediocre photography skills, here's a pic of my black/white coco floor mats. The pic makes the anthracite look kind of blue for some reason, but in person, the mats really fit in colorwise.

Looks great, Annette!

What's that in your driver's side door pocket?

I like these mats. Especially if they will stay put. The driver's side mat that came with my Mini constantly moves & bunches up under my gas pedal. Does anyone else have that problem

My OEM carpet mats don't slip but that is due to the plastic velcro "button" that screws in, secures the mats to the floor. I assumed all MINI had these but, alas, I probably assumed wrong (as usual). Thing is, the foam back on the OEM carpet mats separates over time and then rips due to the force of the velcro's gripping action. I may try to reattach...or go for some nice mats like these.

In my driver's side door pocket is a really cool umbrella I found at Target. It's my homage to the Paul Smith Mini. I tried to buy an actual Paul Smith umbrella but it cost over $100.00!
My coco mats don't move at all, I did have to manipulate them a bit to fit them under the seat adjustment lever which may be what is holding them in place, but probably not. Do you have particularly active feet?

I got some aftermarket mats i made to fit in my mini... and they bunched up.
I let a friend drive my car somewhere one day, and after two shift their heel completely bunched up the mat. They got so mad they pulled the car over, picked up the mat, and threw it in the boot. I never put it back down afterwards, because it was irritating to me as well :P

I want cocomats!

I don't think my feet are unusually active

My mats were put in by my dealer. They have little velcro-like squares on the back. My driver's mat stayed perfectly in place until the day I took it out to really do a major vacuum job. Ever since that day it has never stayed put right

ps...I saw the pic of the passenger side mat. Can you post a pic of the driver's side mat?

My floormats bunched up until I went to the dealer and they gave me some round things with a screw on one side and velcro (?) on the other. You just screw them into the carpet and then put your floor mats back in place. Look at the bottom of your floor mats and you will see a round circle of velcro so you will know where to screw them in.
