Clutch "singing" when engaging 1st gear
I have a 2003 MCS with 26k miles. I recently noticed that when engaging 1st gear I sometimes get a sort of "singing" noise at a certain point in the clutch travel. Has anyone seen this before and can they tell me what it is?
Also, I let my maintenance contract expire back in September. Is there any way to get back on one now?

My '02 MC developed a "singing" clutch at about 30 K miles. Dealer replaced the clutch assembly under warrantee. I sold the car at a bit over 50K miles with no "encore" from the clutch during that time.
singing clutch
Thread under clutch noise describes problem. Some members have clutch throw out bearing replaced and the updated flywheel and some get clutch done only. Some clutches pulled done show much wear so it maybe only flyeheel and or throw out bearing.
