Need help from Raleigh area owners.....

I am trying to decide between buying and MCS or an MCS JCW. Is there anyone in the Raleigh area that would be willing to let me try out their JCW or modded MCS, so I can see which route to go (don't worry, I wont drive it like I stole it"

Would also like to hear personal opinions about each.

THX

The Raleigh chapter will be getting together on the 17th of this month for dinner and the Celebration of Lights drive, if you want to meet up us. I don't know if we have a JCW in the group, but we do have pullied and stock MCS's. Watch for a thread coming soon to the forum with all the details.

I'm down in Fayetteville so it would be a little difficult to get together, but Chris, who has a pullied S is in Raleigh. You might want to drop him a PM at Mini03Tiger84 and see if you can get together sometime. I know he's rather busy with work and such, but it's a chance.

If you ever come down to Fayetteville, drop me a line.

Hello...

I just wanted to offer some assistance if I could. I know that Chris' MCS could probably eat my JCW for dinner, but if you want to find out what a modded MCS is like vs. a JCW model, I can try to help. Just PM me or email me at dave@margaretlily.com. I know I was trying to find someone with a JCW model to compare to the stock MCS before I ordered like you, but was unavailable to do so.

Dave

You should try both. MiniTiger has an 03 that has been modified and pwjcw is an 05 JCW so it has the lower gearing so it will be an interesting comparison. I'm not sure if anyone in teh group has a non-modified 05 for the ultimate comparion thogh.

Though I don't live in Raleigh, I do get there often enough. I have an '02 that has a few mods. If interested drop me a PM...

Not sure why I did not think about it, but if you are near RTP, you can come out and drive mine during lunch one day.

I have a relatively lightly modded S with just a 15% pulley and a K&N air filter.
