Hockey in the Carolinas?

Would anyone be interested in doing Meet and Hockey night in the Carolinas? We do have the Hurricanes at the NHL level in Raleigh, or any of a number of ECHL teams throughout the two states.

Just offering up as an idea.

Thanks
Jack

Thanks for throwing out the ideas. I'm all for the meeting part, but not very big on the Hockey part.

I think Hockey is flawed, and the scores are too low--making it agonizing (and boring) to watch. Either their shouldn't be goalies (on either side) or the net should be the size of the endfield. That way, the teamwork would still be critical, but the scores would be higher.

Wish I was down there to go. The Whalers became the Hurricanes while I was going to school at UNCG, and their played in Greensboro while the new stadium was worked out in Raleigh. Ofcourse it was NC, so they had a hard time getting anyone to go to the games, especially in Greensboro. We could get $15 student tickets. I went to about 6 games that semester.

I work almost within site of the arena where the Capitals play (MCI Center), but I never go because the tickets are so much $$$. To get any sort of decient seats you're in the $90 a ticket range. Add in some food and you're at $120 each.
