Powder Coated Wheels?

Anybody have their wheels powder coated? I have the hole wheels and am thinking about having them powder coated with a design on them. Just wondering if anybody has done this and any feed back on the finished product.

Pics would be great!

We're going to be doing a powder coating project this winter. My husband has all the equipment. We're taking white V-spokes that I bought off ebay and powder coating them black. Once we quit procrastinating, I'll post pics

Anyone in the Virginia Region who wants anything powdercoated, I know a place that does great work. Just let me know. I'll have pics of my special order wheels up as soon as I have them mounted.

Different car, but i powdercoated my wheels with my dad in our garage... 2 weeks before i had an accident and sold the car off but i did get a couple pictures.

Testing the center cap (which i never ended up putting on):

dirty after driving a few hundred miles to a miata meet 2 days before accident:

I'm sorry i got crappy shots... but it's so much fun to powder coat, and they're so sexy afterwards

Jack's Yellow PC wheels look awesome in person... but nothing compares to Samurai Will's new wheels. They look incredible!

Trippple dam! That PW with black looks great, I might do that. My other thought was to have the union jack done on the wheels, but that black looks sweeeeet.

I bent one of my Hamman's slightly at the track one time and could never get the silver paintto match properly . I ended up powder coating them all and having the outer lip polished for good measure. It was a two stage powder coat called black chrome.

Ok, some noob powder coating questions.

1. How durable is the finish?
2. Does it add weight to the wheel and how much?
3. What is the typical cost?

TIA

1. Very durable so far and I have about 25k miles on them.

2. I do not think the added weight would be noticeable. It is basically thick paint

3. Mine were on the expensive side do to the nature of the 2 stage powder coat and the need to have them done as perfectly as possible for the show/ promo circuit. They were 160 per wheel for the powder coat and 90 for the polish lip.
