New Mini hood, bumper, and side skirts...

What do you think of the kit. It is made, installed, and sold at mini club sport out of germany. The best part is it is backed and covered under the BMW warrenty. For $2000.00 installed it better be.....

I like the hood...I think... maybe not...I dont know. At first I do because it is different, but from the front I dont like how the new hood vents and the cowls are lined up differently. The bumper is nice, but if I were to spend $2k I would want something a little more obnoxious/in your face I guess.

That bumper is very similar to the Hamann frt bumper, with the exception of this bumper still having the grill in it. i think i like it though

as for the hood, well, ehhhh, not my thing.

and the side skirts look almost identical to the aero skirts, with a few more lines in them. Hard to tell form the pics though.

good find, who makes these items?

edit- after studying the bumper again, i noticed that the grill slot on the bumper has been flipped upside down, interesting, but would have rather seen it filled in.

Not so sure about the hood (better than an unpainted carbon ricer item), but I like the bumper cover a lot. About the only thing wrong with the bumper cover is they shouldn't have bothered putting the mail-slot behind the license plate IMHO. Needs an aerokit upper grille to tie it all in as well, but that's also a subjective thing.

Those sideskirts look like factory aerokit pieces to me, could just be very similar though. Do you know if the rear bumper cover is different from the current factory pieces?

This stuff has been out for a while.

I like the hood myself as it is VERY "functional" for track driving.

I was wondering what a serious track-ie would say. I also think the air dam lends itself beter than the OE aero kit to installing brake vents.

All in all, I like it. Just have issues about daily driver having the engine compartment exposed.

For the money, I'd just get that hood on a lightly used Evo VIII and run house on that Mini all day at the track.

I like the bumper! Any idea how to get it here, and how much? (can't figure out where to get the pricing) Perhaps someone sells it locally...although I think if I bought it, this would be the way to go for me:

BTW: On my ride it would work perfect since my mini is Jet Black (pics in gallery)

Nice hood! Looks like it would be good getting air to the CAI Hopefully everything will still seal well.

I have a 'tuner' mini diecast with this exact kit... for the grills in the hood they used clear plastic... but otherwise it's the same (well the front fog holes are a bit bigger on the model, but that could be lost in scaling

I am sure the hood does a good job of keeping the motor cool but what would it be like in a " real world " element? Something as minor as washing the car might be a real pain in the butt much less being caught out in the rain. Looks like a good track day item tho.

I wasn't expecting the slats across the top of the hood vents. It looks different than the mesh on the blue car.

Can you get a pic of the underside of the hood? Might serve to answer some of these questions.
