Turbo for Cooper?

I've tried searching, i've tried asking, but i haven't had much luck.

I've been seeing all this stuff about the Alta twincharger what-the-heck junk... for the S.

I'm going to assume there is a turbo kit for the Cooper? If so, where the heck can i find one? I know, i suck. I keep changing my mind about what i want, when i'll do it, and i'm just a dumb kid who has way too much extra money to throw around... but i want to make sure i know what i'm getting myself into WAY ahead of time. And the best way to do that is to ask experienced people... over and over and over. I didn't do that with the miata, and i kept throwing more and more into it... then i wrecked it and took a huge hit.

I have a deep appreciation for cars, and i love learning all i can about them. I like hanging around shops and tech days and filling my wee litle brain with all kinds of info and watching installs. But i have no freaking idea what i'd be getting myself into with a turbo. I hear some complaints about the maintenance on them, and i'm a little worried about it. And i was debating going aftermarket SC, but that's not worth the money. Helpppp, please

The folks at M7 were working on one once apon a time. I think they gave up on it.

As far as I know, there are no turbo kits for the MC available in the U.S.

Samantha, ask me about this on Saturday, at the tech day. I'll share all the copious volumes of notes I took on this, and why I've (half-way) given up.
