IM I DREAMING ? I WAS LEAVING WORK JUST GOT MY PAYCHECK AND ALL I HAD ON ME WAS 2 DOLLERS FOR GAS AND I WAS BASICALLY EMPTY, BEING 45 MILES FROM HOME AND ENOUGF FOR 1 GALLON OF GAS PLUSE WHAT ELSE I HAD IN THEIR I WAS HOPING TO (sorry got rid of the caps) get home on that but i was risking it
i thought. well i get on my way down i-275 south and deside to take it slow so i set the cruis to 65 miles per hour or so (not digital so i cant give perfect number) and reset my miles per gallon indicater and just moving on my way about 35 minutes later i glance at my indicater and load and behold im averaging 41.5 then jumping to 42.1 then back again, i have 20986 miles on the car and if this is an indication of a well brokin in engines gas milage then us s owners are in for a nice treat when the gas prices jump, just cant go over 69 or the milage shoots to like 32 to 29
has anybody out their found the same findings in gas milage?

this is no joke ill send pics if yall want proof.

i average 5000 miles a month so if this is the speed i have to travel to get thes numbers then i will be definetly be changing my driving habits

ohhhhhhh the savings $$$$$$

Sounds too good to be true. I've never got more than 35.41 mpg (all highway driving at 65 mph) on a trip north to Vancouver, Canada. Did your on board computer figure that out? I suspect they err on the high side.

On the other hand, now that my MC is broken in, and after the first oil change servicing next month, I still have hopes of getting up to 38 mpg for all highway driving.

Any idea what the elevation change was for this trip? I can imagine a MINI cruising at 65 or so at even a slight incline or with a little help from the wind achieving some sort of ideal mpg such as you got. That is amazing though!

A/C on or off?
