Factory Alarm System

Has there been any info or change on the install on MCS made 6/02 or before. There is suposed to be a kit (65 75 0 029 310) to correct this but my dealer says this is on factory freeze til they sort something out.
I really want a factory alarm rather than an aftermarket. All help would be appreciated.
