pulley belt
hey! need advice on when to replace my original pulley belt. i have 50,000 miles on my mcs and the belt still appears to be in good shape but i want to replace it before something unexpected happens.....

belt needs changing at 60,000 miles on a Cooper S

For MINI Cooper its 100,000 miles

go ahead and do it. it's worth the extra 20 dollars. Plus, its not the visible side of the belt that you need to worry about, it's the side with the teeth.

I was told by a good source that you should change the belt regardless at 60K.

And from what I remember, Eric @ Helix mentioned that with a pulley one should replace it after 30K (after putting the pulley on that is)...which reminds me, I need to make an appointment to go down there!
