i've been searching the forum but haven't found anything; can anyone recommend a good body shop that works on MINIs in the oakland/berkeley area? my neighbor forgot to put his truck in park and it rolled into my (brand new!) little car - nothing major (hopefully) - the rear quarterpanel will need to be undented/repainted, and the fender over the wheelwell will need to be replaced.

the dealer recommended Haws Auto Body, but they are in Concord and i'd like to find something closer to me, if possible... any recs would be appreciated, thanks!

 

Your damage sounds almost like what happened to me. My neighbor backed into my pride and joy, nailed the back edge of the drivers door and rear quarter panel as well. I took it to California Classics here in Alameda and couldn't be happier. They even matched the Chili Red paint with a spectrograph (or spectrometer can't remember which) I'd reccommend them for any body and paint work. The Min looks showroom fresh, all the panels are perfectly aligned and no after repair sqeaks or rattles

sorry that happend to you.. i recommend COOKS collsion in oakland, concord and pleasanton.. these guys are really good.. also, they use only the best paint. all of the higher-end car dealerships send their damaged cars COOKS.. they use paint that is very expernsive but, it worth it.. some type of german paint. not the dupont stuff..
