??: How do you ship the bumpers/skirts
??: How do you ship the bumpers/skirts
A question for you veterans here. I've sold my Cooper S front/rear bumper, side skirt, and grill to someone several states away (too far to drive). The packaging/shipping quote I'm getting is fairly high (~$300). Anyone have a good way to package and ship these?
Thanks,
John

Where I live theres a Longs that ships stuff via ups or fedex and they calculate the prices by weight only I think.

FedEx Ground is one of the most economical ways to ship. I've had quotes by UPS at $45 that was like $12 by FedEx Ground. Greyhound is also a good alternative--but I believe the items need to be picked up and delivered at the station. I know Motorswag used Greyhound to get items to the Dragon and they worked out well.
John,
May I ask how much you got for the entire set? The reason I ask is that I will be getting the Aero kit installed in a week or so, and I was wondering if it would be worth my while to sell the stock parts.
Thanks!

Might be best to ship them in several boxes. That should help on the cost (total) and make sure they get there in the best shape. I bought a front bumper cover and the shipping ran about $35 from FL to NC on UPS. The box was almost gone by the time it got to my place. The guy put it in a box that was way to large and didn't have anything to stop the bumper from moving around inside it. He did wrap it to protect the finish and it arrived safely, but for the look of the box it went through hell on it's way to me.
