Wait a minuite here....At the risk of looking like a stalker(which Iam not, youre user name is just memorable and you can search old posts obviously)...lemme get this straight....

In about a 12 month time frame you have torn through 3 brand new cars and one that was still newer than most people have.

2006 MCS on the way...

Now I know where all my money has gone this year!
Drove that until April when you got your first MCS

Then...Aparently Got a 350Z, Which you are now selling after aparently about 2 months

To get another brand new MINI!.......

I figure sales tax alone on three brand new cars in 9 months is close to $5000 dollars. How in the world does a 19yr girl have the financial ability to blow through cars like this "on her own"? lottery maybe? a $1000 per week allowance? This string of autos is just baffling

she's maybe running 2, 3 jobs..
and if her driving record and all that is clear and insurance is good to go, i don't think there will be any problems affording cars like mcs, 350z..
if my driving record was clean, I would be driving a m3..

yeah. working 2 jobs.. age 19.

Maybe, just maybe, a girl's financial situation is really none of anyone's business but her own???

I'd change cars like I change shoes if I could, and so would the people griping about a 19 year old trading in one car for another!

Can't wait to see the new super MCS at the Dragon, Tori!

What's more amazing is that Tori has opted to purchase a standard MCS, fly up to Ohio to pick it up, and has never driven a standard before.

Good for her I say, and welcome back to the fold.

Planeguy.... and now you see why I am broke and unable to afford tuition and rent for the next semester of school...
and let me add to your post...
the durango was totaled... and the insurance company paid blue book value to repair it instead of totaling it. the problem was that when i got it back from the shop it made funny noises and drove terribly... and it wasnt new, i got it with all sorts of problems and over 100,000 miles on it... got it in june of 04... totaled in december of 04...
oh and my MINI... Samantha... that name will haunt me forever... we have lemon laws in the states for a reason. sadly, if you install an aftermarket stereo in it, you are then unable to claim your car as a lemon due to the fact that you have worked on it... or thats what they tell me. now, there REALLY were problems with it... if you dont believe me, call Bryan @ Moritz in Arlington and he will vouch for me. (she was roadsided in AFTER i had traded her in... and he called me before she was unloaded... lol he knows her from a distance)
Angelina... also known as my 350z... So i traded Samantha in on impulse... i couldnt open my driver door, was having transmission errors and she was just being a pain in the ***. Luckily for me, they gave me a good trade in for her and a better deal for a z... the only problem? the z is not a MINI.. and driving sucks. the ONLY cool thing about having a 287hp car is being able to go fast... but once you get over 115 the stupid car shakes (nothing abnormal) and it becomes rather dodgy.... so basically there is no point to keeping her.
oh and the taxes... how they SUCK. good bye money... i miss having you.

Eric Rowland- I will PM you with a little info on her...

Andrew- thanks for defending me Hurry up MAY!!!! How is the purple people eater doing? and how does your MCS like her???

and Jay- you ARE going to teach me to drive a standard before i leave right??? that offer still stands???

joker- thanks for the luck... ill need it

it still doesnt make sense.

i'm a college student, too, so i know the kind of money spent on schooling.

getting new car after new car isnt exactly the brightest thing to be doing if your BARELY making it thru school. Fortunatley i have a good job that pays well, so i can afford a nice car. all thru high school, working 20-30 hrs a week, i was driving beat to crap, 1000 dollar cars that were literally "Sh*t on wheels".

taking a look around one of the parking lots at school, i see maybey, 6 or 7 out of maybey 75 or so cars that are newer than 2000. college kids just dont go buying new cars, let alone 2 or 3 in a row.

i was able to buy a 05 brand new, then trade it in on an 04 S simply because my payment only went up about $15 a month.

i think its time to put your priorites in order and see what is really more important here, school, or a new car (every 3 months )

see when i was doing all this... i was ABLE to afford it without problems... then I got cut off... (all my doing, so i cant really be mad at anyone other than myself)

and i guess things are different in ohio, but here in texas and in my home state of california... my MINI and my 350Z are not impressive cars... there are kids here rocking their new beemers (my friend in cali ******* cause he has a 2004 bmw) and other impressive cars...

and hey... im looking for a job... and trying to do school at the same time... its not like im slacking!
grrr why did this become a thread attacking me?

here we go.
look at me... i am a broke 19 year old college student. i have a spending addiction. i screw up and do irresponsible things. thanks for reminding me.

Tori, you don't need to explain yourself or your finances to anyone. It is really NONE of their business. I think one's financial situation is a private matter, not to be discussed in a public forum, nor critiqued or judged.

I'm so glad you're getting another MINI and you'll love learning to shift. It is really fun!

i can understand about running into problems with money, but the soludtion sure as hell isnt to go buy another new car!

they thing to do would seem to be sell the 350z and but something like an aveo or something along those line (10-12k) or, just get a used car, something from the late 80, early 90's in decent shape, usually atainable for under 8 grand.

the 350z or the mini isnt exactly an impressive car up in these parts (20-28 grand for a car isnt what i would call expensive) they just arent college kid cars (the 350 at least) a college kid car is a honda or a toyota or something like a cavalier. good gas mileage and fairly cheap.

not trying to bash, just trying to set a few things straight here.

Bringing the thread back On-Topic, Tori: got any pix of the 350Z? Did you list it on craigslist yet? Good luck, sweetie!
