Rear storage organizer

I'm looking for a good solution to keeping my inflator kit, torque wrench, etc. secure in the rear, and out of the way. What has everyone found so far?

if you dont like your rear seat take it out and put everythign under there! if not you need to try and make or buy an organizer that fits the boot.

The MINI boot box available from your dealer or on-line, works great for all kinds of stuffing....

Yeah, but isn't that sectioned into 3 rather small compartments? A torque wrench is almost 2 feet long.

I got one of those inexpensive shoe box-sized containers (Rubbermaid-type...clear plastic, colored plastic snap-lid) and drilled a hole near the bottom, fore and aft. Through the holes I fished a small bungee cord, in one side of the box and out the other, hooking the ends to the anchor points in the boot. The bungee cord keeps the container from sliding around and I can put all kinds of things in there. The covered plastic top doesn't mind if book bags, grocery bags, musical instruments or other stuff gets piled on top. These containers are about the right size to fit to one side of the boot....I could add another to the other side, but all my stuff fits in one. btw, the container I selected for my MINI had an IB-colored top, of course.

For bigger stuff, I don't know...just keep it light!!

I have one of the organizers and I like it.

If you want to put a torque wrench in it, all the partitions would have to be down.

Kaelaria - An easy solution for your 2' t-wrench storage is to drill small holes in your rear deck and mount the wrench under it using hooks, bungie cord, or zip ties. Or buy the Mini tool bag made for the rear deck and sew and elastic band loop to fit just before the handle on one end and just after the ratchet on the other end.

I have 2 storage units for sale.. from Texas Saddle Bags. They fit in back storage area, perfectly, even with a CD changer. When back seats are down you have an even level for full rear area. Each opens for 2 inside storage areas, stacks on top of each other, will not slide around. Asking $90, original cost was 200. In perfect condition. Sold MINI, so cannot use them.
