Hoosier 225/50/16

This might be a really dumb question, but has anyone tried mounting a 225/50/16 tire on the 16X6.5 rims? I know that the 215/45/16 tire is a tight fit, but I can snag a deal on the 225 tires.

open to any and all advice.

Thanks

Yes, it can be done and they fit the wheel fine. The only issue you will find is that if you run stock wheels with no spacers, you will probably rub a lot on the strut in the front, and the control arm in the rear. In the rear, you can expect to rub on the fender liners as well. I've ran them with very minimal rubbing using 44 offset wheels.
