Charleston British Car Show Oct. 30th (Sunday)

I wanted to give our group a heads up to a nice little show in Charleston. Deb and I did this last year and had a nice time. The Charleston British Car Club have held this event for 21 years and put on a good show. All proceeds go to a charity (My Sister's House).

You can learn more about the show by visiting www.CharlestonBritishCarClub.com. We plan on staying at Patriot's Point Quality Inn, just accross the Cooper River Bridge (How appropriate!). The show is on Sunday so we could all have a nice dinner in downtown Charleston and do a ghost tour.

Check out last year's pictures.

Send me an email or post if you are interested.

I might be able to make this one this year. If I do, it'll be I'll have to roll in Sunday morning.

I wanted to bump this event up so it's on your minds. This should be of interest to those of you on the eastern side of the states.

The Charleston event turned out so much better then I could have ever expected. It was a very nice show in downtown Charleston at Marion Square. There was plenty of things to do while the show was going on such as shopping or dining.

There were a few new MINIs there. We met the President of the MINI club of Charleston and the sales manager from MINI of Charleston. MINI of Charleston sponsored the show.

We won 1st place, the Pres of the Charleston Club won 2nd and a very nice couple from England now living in Columbia won 3rd. We bumped into club members Ches and Anne. Anne now has a beautiful new MINI of her own with the new silver roof and mirrors.

This year they gave away a trophy for the club with the most participants. I raised my hand, but one didn't cut it as there was another group with four or five members who won.

But everyone was great this year. I hope they have it again downtown next year and I'll have photos up in a few days.

Cheers,
Debi

Sounds like you had a fun time, Debi. Wish I could have worked it in the schedule, but as anticipated, the previous two weekends events did me in.
