Is the cost of PDI the same across Canada? The Vancouver/Richmond dealer
is charging $1295.00 The MINIUSA.COM list $550.00 even with the state of our Canadian dollar $1295 seems a bit excessive.

 

I'm in the Toronto area and I'm being charged $1079 for delivery. The cars are coming from the UK. Unlike a Ford Windstar made in Oakville being charged $800 in Toronto for delivery!

My mother bought an Intrepid a few years ago and even though we live 2km from the factory the car was built,she paid $500 for shipping. We ofered to drive the car to the dealership so they could prep the car for delivery but they just gave us a dirty look. No sense of humour. As for the MINI I also paid $1079 in Toronto. Thankfully we aren't having some of the gouging problems they are having in the States.

 

I bought a 2005 from BMWMini in Halifax and they wanted $1,800 for shipping, when I questioned this they reduced it to $1,400 saying the higher price included some "gifts". I did receive a couple of Mini caps (baseball type) and all weather floor mats. This is a far higher price than the Vancouver example and we are a stones throw from the autoport where cars land from England. Go figure

 

Canadians are raped compared to the US. Dollar is now par. Don't even get me started....
