Newbie to NorCal MINIs just saying hi.
Hello all! I am new to NorCal MINIs and wanted to say hi. I have a 2002 MCS Liquid Yellow with black roof and bonnet stripes. I just got my car so it is bone stock for the moment till I get some time and money. I have been looking to get another Mini since I had to leave my 1988 Red Hot Mini when it died on me while stationed in Germany and couldn't bring it back with me. If I knew how hard it was to get an old mini stateside I would have tryed harder to bring her back with me. I found "Bumble" when my Suzuki Esteem commuter car got totaled. I have been putting of buying a MINI because I had a good commuter and three kids. But thanks to the old man hitting me and my wife getting tired of me drooling over MINIs, I found Bumble. I am 27, married for about a week and now have three stepchildren 8, 6,and 5. I have been in the Airforce for eight years. Well enough about me, how about a little about all of you?
Welcome, Bumble! Do you work in downtown Sact by any chance? I was driving in to work the other day and spotted a "new" LY/B MCS in our parking garage. Brought a smile to my face, of course! Great way to start the work day!
My wife works in sac at 8th and R and drives the MINI when she can. There is another LY/B running around that I see from time to time with the vanity plate that says something like YELO JKT. I am planning on getting vanity plates when I can scrape up the cash. Thank you all for the warm welcome. I am glad to be a NorCal MINIer.
Welcome and feel free to post a pic of the bumble machine. Too bad about your Mini. Ever since the MINI was launched Minis have experienced a revival. Amazing how small they are compared to the current MINI, but they are 2 very different cars. Best wishes.
