Hey Charlotte!!!
Hey Charlotte MINIs!!!
Hey Charlotte MINIs!
I want to introduce myself officially, I guess. I am Sarah (aka SUPRCUPR) and now have the pleasure of being the Charlotte area VP for M2C2. I look forward to a fun year with our MINIs!
I have been a MINI owner since August 2002. I had a 02 Dark Silver MCS. But then more fancy doo-dah’s and options came about and I was able to sell the 02 and order an 05! Same color & still an ‘S’– but with chrome, red cloth and leather seats, and fancy wheels… the Super Cooper with a touch of attitude! I have also been a member of M2C2 since the start and know definitely it is a great place for fun!
George Kale has put this club into overdrive and all I hope to keep us cruising along. I have big shoes to fill and I hope you all will be patient with me. Thank you George for all of your hard work and time! You are AWESOME!
Now, I need All Y’all’s Help! I’d like to hear from the Charlotte area MINIs… Where are you? SouthPark, Ballantyne, Lake Norman, Lake Wylie, University, Harrisburg??? What cool places are on your sides of town? I have lived in Charlotte all my life, but we all know things change fast around here! I’d like to plan events all over the city – especially a monthly dinner type thing.
Overall, I want to make sure we continue to grow as a club and have fun with our MINIs. I’ll need your input to make sure we do just that!
Happy Motoring!

Hello and congratulations, Sarah!
I look forward to a very fun year. I live in Ballantyne and work in Matthews. Monthly dinner could be a fun proposition! I especially like the events that are centered around our cars (ie. car washing days, Zaino clinics, car shows, and other outings). A monthly detailing day would be a great attraction! I like joining the group for dinner, especially if it is a punctuation at the end of a 'car' event.
I often miss Saturday events due to work (I have to pull lots of extra strings to get a Saturday off) but Sunday events are much easier for me to get to. Often, I go in at 11:00am on Saturdays, so meeting beforehand at Hendrick MINI has been achievable.
It would be nice to invite some performance drivers, MINI/BMW technicians, etc. to join or be guest speakers at some of our events.
I think our group should adopt an official charity to back.
Things that put our cars and the merits of our group into the public limelight and even the press will help establish the credibility of our club, as well as its appeal to new members.
A "Meet Our Newest Members" luncheon every month or so could also be a neat thing to try. If not a luncheon, then we should have a sticky post where we can put up a photo and short blurb for each new member on our forum.
Keep me in mind if my resources can help our club!
