Anyone have any recommendations for a reputable place to get windows tinted in San Fran, Marin or maybe in South San Fran? Also, can anyone who has had thier windows tinted say roughly how much it cost? I'm considering getting mine tinted sometime in the next month or two, so I figured I should start gathering info.
I'd prefer to not have to drive to easy bay, unless it was a shop that could do it while I waited (which seems unlikely). Also, does anyone know the legal tint limits in CA, I've only lived here for a little less then 2 years. Anyhow, any info would be appreciated.

 

I would recommend the Detail Factory on 1023 Mission in the City. It's located downtown. They did a flawless job tinting the Prius- my other car. For that job, the talley was $250.

My Mini was tinted in SoCal.

I got my MINI done in Modesto, sounds chessy huh, by Advanced Window Tinting, they did an awesome job, I got to wait around and watch him do his thing, very cool guy. $200 bucks - Lifetime warrenty.

You can have the rear windows of a car as dark as you want as long as you have two side mirrors, the driver and passenger windows are illegal no matter what you put on them.

Place in Sacramento, kinda far, but with the GCM Discount tint job (all 5 windows) for $140. Thats a bit far to drive though!

The only place I'd trust my cars to (and feel okay about leaving my car in their care). Took one other car somewhere else to save a few bucks once and the quality of the tint was just not as good.

These guys are professionals that have been doing it for years; they stand behind the work. They are also great for windshield replacement
