If it's cool you're after, I reckon the promini one looks pretty tough;
But it won't fit over most aftermarket cold air boxes...

I think the JCW one looks the best (at least from afar). I guess they're saying the welds aren't well made now... The Promini one above does look nice but it only works with their own intake. When I'm ready for one, I'd choose the M7 version as it looks clean and can fit over the airbox/ecu.

I agree....It is a beautiful piece but it won't fit with my Unichip wiring harness even if I could get it over the Alta CAI....off to check the M7

I definitely think so...i welded up the brackets for the rear brace, just never got around to making the center connecting part. Its amazing what you can do with a nice welding set-up

I also have a top secret, custom-made, fiberglass front lip kit that im working on in my sculpture studio...shhhhhh

Im a firm believer in doing things yourself. Sometimes the money you spend on something, you could have purchased the tools, materails and invested alot of your own time to come up with an original idea. I break tons of stuff on my car because I want to fiddle. but it only makes my brain work that much harder. And my wallet that much lighter!!!!!!

I think the question was "coolest" not most functional. I am sure the one you made will do the job but it isn't "pretty". Of coarse I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I was thinking bling with function. Some of us have more money than sense:smile: We all can't have the tools or the time so we just buy it

I don't know CALL...... I think the "raw" look is pretty cool....... there are certainly no others like it which has adds a "coolness" factor....... I have done just enough welding (years ago) to appreciate that my skills (these days) are too limited to make anything I would want on my car.

Awesome job lambspeed.

I think functional rather than bling and your brace is it.

I have ARC (known brand for JDM crowd). I bought one in Japan. light weight and very strong. Thins out over the intake part so no rubbing issues with aftermarket intake/ecu lid.

hey spiderX, have u heard of a company called Electrodyne? they are currently using my ride for a prototype bar, -its in a raw finish much like the finish of M7's- they're heavily into moding M3's & Porsche's (my personal favorites) its a really beffy bar & looks alot like the M3 style bars that u see alot, not tubular though...mayb i can get them to send u a pic 0r two of it for u to see.....available real soon i know u have heard that b4 but hey thats the way it always is............*******do u like M7's bar, i think its cherry
