Help, Please Provide Comments..

I am torn between the following wheels. I have a JB/B '05 MCS, and want to add some nice gunmetal/anthracite wheels (lightweight) for summer driving on high performance tires. I was planning on keeping the S-not-so-lites for winter driving. Comments, feedback, suggestions are welcome and much appreciated

I not a fan of more than 4 lug holes. I'd choose the first one.

The enkei 17x7 are available in 4x100 bolt pattern.
45 offset
18lbs

I like them out of the 3.
I'm going w/ that pattern for my summer rims.
Either ASA AR1 or Flik Wasp... depending on color i go with.

These enkei are nice... how much $?

I know there is nothing in your selection here but maybe something that has a black/anthracite center and a polished lip to help with the chrome belt line.
Maybe something like this

Forgot to mention $179 dollars a pice from tire rack

Thanks

Thanks for the input everyone! I have looked at the Kosei's as you cannot ignore their value for the weight. Decisions, decisions...:impatient

I looked into Works Emotion CR also before, since they are more expensive, I chose Enkei RSV, which is about the same style but cheaper. The weight is 19lb, if you really need like 14-15lb, that is not your choice, but for me, I think that is ok. You can see pics of RSV on my car from the link below my sig.

Like mybroscoop I'm partial to dark wheels with a bright lip, esp on a black car.

But of your options I think I'd go with the first one, partially because its not terribly common (given that they are a good wheel, I'm not familar with Team Dynamics). Try to photoshop it first just to get a better idea of it on the car.

Thanks for the input

Based on photoshop and incorporation of the input I have received, the Works (#2, first post) and Enkei (#3, first post) wheels are out. Here are three more options below. Is anyone familiar with Flik (#2)? I have read conflicting views about the quality of Flik wheels on NAM. The first pictured wheel is a Volk Racing wheel by Rays, and the last image is the 5zigen entry into the contest. The Team Dyanmics wheel from the first post (#1) is still in the running. I want to have something ordered by tonight so input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

5zigen is out

After looking at the 5zigens on the car (photoshop), they are out. Three left in the running.... Maybe I should just choose something from Tire rack so that they come with tires mounted and balanced, and I am limited in my choices--this is more difficult than I imagined!

How much would a set of 4 17 x 7 Kosei K1 TS Light Grey Painted wheels (with the red stem fittings for both standard valves) + a set of four 205/45YR17 XL BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2 Blackwall (mounted and balanced) run me with shipping to NJ?

Noticed you already added the wheels & tires to your signature.. sounds like its a done-deal for Alex. I can't speak for the tires but, you'll love the TS wheels.

I am glad to hear something positive about these wheels. I also liked the SSR Comps, but the TS wheels seemed like a better value. Are you running the Kosei k1 TS wheels?

Hi Alex,

I spoke with Helix Minisport and I am just going to go ahead and order this kit from them to expedite installation. Thanks!

Do you feel a difference in the handling and accel. with the TS wheels vs. stock?

Yes... Powdercoated in white Since you were originally looking at a darker wheel, you may want to consider the TS in dark gray. Actually looks more like anthracite. The light gray ones look almost silver. Price the same.

Sure do. I expected to be able to feel the difference under hard accel. but surprised to feel the difference in accel. just normal driving in 1st., 2nd., 3rd. and 4th. Not so much in 5th. & 6th. Now, I'm not talking about a HUGH difference but, it does pull better under all driving conditions. I have not tried braking real hard yet, but I'm sure it will stop better as well

Nice Wheels, how much do they weigh? I haven't pulled the trigger yet... I must amend my signature--AGAIN!

Note those are 18 inchers Pull the trigger on the TS's, that way you won't have to change your signature

The ones pictured are 18" wheels, but they do sell 17x7 wheels. They are about 20 lbs. I am probably getting them through www.wheelguyz.com

I do have a couple of other places that sell them if you are interested. One place sells them for $146 each while the other two places i've found sell them as packages (with tires) ranging from about $720-$800.

They seem to be pretty hard to find though, i've been looking for the past 2 months and I've only found 3 places that sell them!! I saw them in person on a 3 series BMW and the look is amazing. They have an excellent finish on them and look really good in person.
