Pilo and general short shifter Q's

I've read that the Pilo short shifter can feel like you're grinding gears in shifts...what are some different experiences with this? Which shifters don't do this? I like the alta, but it's pricey and I'd rather not have to worry about set screws loosening themselves. I assume thread lock could cure this if I want to just keep it on the shortest setting? I'd like some different opinions.

I have the Helix SS and love it. It maintains the shifter height, but make the shifts shorter and more crisp. It's less expensive than most. The only down side is that the heat shield need to be removed so the leather shifter boot tend to get pretty warm.

I've never heard of this. I drive with it every day, and have not experienced.

Thanks

oh well, maybe it was a user error on installation. Dan, I think I'd like to order your SS tomorrow or the next day. I'll be in touch
