There's still room for you

M2C2 Greenville, SC is hosting its 1st Detail Clinic which will be run by Steve Treece of Carolina Shine. Most of you know Steve as the local Zaino distributor. Rob, of Century MINI, has made arrangements for us to the BMW Service Area so that we will be inside. Thanks Steve! Thanks Rob!!!

What: Zaino Clinic
When: SUNDAY 10:00 AM October 9th (Rain or Shine)
Where: Century MINI 2750 Laurens Road, Greenville, SC

Space is limited to 12 MINIs. Please contact me at karen.williams@m2c2.org to reserve your spot.

This is a full participation clinic featuring Zaino Bros' Show Car Polish. Each participant will learn how to use clay bar on his/her own car and they apply the appropriate Zaino polish(s). The most cars we can handle would be 12. Lunch will be provided for the participants.

You will need to bring the following:

One towel for use while using clay bar
A 12oz or greater capacity spray bottle for use with clay
Enough towels to dry the car one time
At least one towel to use with Z-6
At least one towel for polish removal

All of the Zaino products will be available for purchase the day of the event. Please purchase your products from Steve at the detail clinic – it’s how he is able to provide the clinic to us. If you haven't used Zaino before, you should expect to spend $70to $80 dollars depending on whether you have a light colored car or a dark one.

Also available are micro fiber towels manufactured by DF Towel. The
fabric for these towels is made in Italy and shipped to the U.S where
they are made into towels. Zaino has recently endorsed the use of these
with his polish products. These can be pre-washed and available for your use on October 9. A recent price reduction from the manufacturer makes these very affordable:

Medium Small 19.5x19.5 = $ 9.75
Medium 29x16 = $11.00
Wax Applicator Pad = $4.25 (These feature a washable cover)
Lifetime Guarantee Hose Nozzle $25.70

The medium is a tremendous all-around towel for either removing polish or use with Z-6 Gloss Enhancer or Z-8 Grand Finale Spray Seal. Steve’s recommendation would be one or two Medium size and at least two Medium Small towels. The Medium Small is my personal favorite for everyday use. Anyone wanting these ready for use the day of the event should e-mail Steve directly and he'll have them pre-washed and ready to go. No payment necessary until 10/09. You can read about these at www.dftowel.com. These are far too nice to use while claying, so bring something else for that. If you see anything else at the DF Towel website that you would like, please let Steve know at least two weeks in advance.

DF Towels latest offering is the best and last hose nozzle you will ever buy. They are made of brass and stainless steel and coated to prevent nicking your car should it come into contact with the surface.

DF Product’s "Glass Shine" is now available in a concentrated form complete with spray bottle. Just add water. The price is $6.65

Steve also has 3M Paint Protection Film. Please visit his web site at www.ultrashieldofcharlotte.com for more information.

There is a wealth of information about Zaino at www.zainostore.com. If you've not used Zaino before it would benefit you to spend a little time there to acquaint yourself with the products and how to use and apply them. Steve will probably take the car in need of the most help and use it as a "demo" car. Not only will this car get the clay bar treatment, but will also allow you to see just how effective Zaino's newest product, PC Fusion, works on that car.

Count me in also!

Since I don't think I'll be needing any supplies yet I don't want to take a spot from someone needing to work on their car, but I'll be there to offer my help to anyone wanting it.

On second thought, I think I'll be getting some more towels and I'll take a look at the wax applicator pad.

Here are some Zaino pictures to drum up business

See ya on Sunday the 9th

Karen

I see you are filling up fast for the 1st Greenville Zaino Detailing Clinic.

I won't take a spot because I just zainoed by MINI last month in Charlotte.

Since there is no home Panther game and they don't play until 4:15pm.
I might come down and say hello for an hour or so. I would come in the morning and leave before lunch. I have a friend that Robin and I might meet for lunch in Greenville.

I am still waiting for new commands from the MINI.

Oh my gosh! If Tweety's going to get an underhood scrubbing, I'll definitely have to come and watch! It's an historic occasion!

Looks like there's still a spot or two left. If you're planning on going to Eurofest, here's your chance to get that shine right!!

Just a reminder on what you need to bring:

One towel for use while using clay bar
A 12oz or greater capacity spray bottle for use with clay
Enough towels to dry the car one time
At least one towel to use with Z-6
At least one towel for polish removal

Wash buckets & wash towels will be provided.

One order has been received for the DF Towels. These will be used in removing polish and with Z-6/Z-8. Order cutoff date is Friday evening. These will be pre-washed and ready for your use. No payment necessary until 10/09.

Look forward to working with all of you. Please call or e-mail if you have any questions.

Steve,

I was planning on doing a Dawn wash and clay bar on Saturday to save time on Sunday, and then using the new Z fusion to take care of some swirl marks on Saturday, I guess after another wash.. Is this OK?
Ed

Miniclown,
Yes the 9th is on Sunday, and that's the same day we're having the clinic..

Is anyone wanting to take one of the three spots left? Come on! It's going to be fun and there'll even be food.
