Sorry I have to take the complain back for now because I am going to wait for another replying from the good sales team at the D&R. Wait and see what they answer to me. :impatient

You are not the first to have problems with a dealer installed kit that, apparently, wasn't prepped correctly before painting.
One that I remembered the details of was off the Roadfly board, perhaps reading through his scenario can help since he managed to get them to fix it:

Sorry your having problems with your body kit. All D&R paint work is through Harvey's Body Shop. For understanding it's not D&R's fault for the pealing problem, you seem to be venting on them for it. Mini warranty is VERY picky about what they will pay to have fixed, for that matter, all car manufactures are.

I have seen this happen with painted parts, and other things, before and the dealer has had to take care it. Even it it wasn't pre-delivery if you paid the dealership directly for the painted parts they are really responsible for the work and dealing with the body shop, after all they were acting as agents for the shop and made the choice to use them for you, the customer.

There is a saying that I have heard many times.......One or two people MAY hear about a good deed done for a customer but at least ten WILL hear about something not done for a customer that they think should have been done!
I know I am more likely to tell people about something that made me angry than to say something that was positive. I think that is human nature.
MINI CAR, let us know how it works out for ya!
Our dealership D&R took a second look of my car and admitted the bodyshop didn't do it right. D&R took my car back to the bodyshop and re-painted the aero kit. They did a great job this time. Thanks to the D&R people for the second detail look of my MINI. I would always highly recommend them on their great service. Especially the sales people.
