Suspension Rear Suspension Problem
Rear Suspension Problem
I wonder if anyone else has run into this problem. I lowered my MCSC with M7 springs and as expected the rear camber went to about -2.5 degrees on each side. I wanted to bring the camber back to stock (about -1.5 degrees) and purchased two Alta lower control arms. I put them on today and went to have the suspension aligned. They were were able to get the camber to -1.5 but this setting really threw out the toe adjustment and nothing the mechanic tried could get it into spec. Right now my rear camber is -1.7 (left and right) and the total toe is -0.29 (left -0.17 and right -0.12). This is out of spec (0.20) by a fair margin. What problems will I run into and other than installing upper control arms what else can I try? Thanks.
Your alignment guy knows how to adjust toe on the Mini in the rear, yes?
If he has done all the adjusting he can and can't get the toe to 0, then you will in fact need upper control arms too.

I strongly suspect his alignment guy does not know how to adjust rear toe. Three bolts need to be loosened at the front end of both trailing arms and the front of the arm slid in for more toe in.
