Has anyone done Jet Hot coating on their headers or exhaust? If you have I would like to know what your impressions are and what HP gains you have seen on modded exhaust.

I am currently going thru prep for a stage II/III workup on my 2004 MCS. I suggested to my shop (Peak Motors http://www.peakmotors.net or http://www.peakpoint.co.kr ........shameless plug for the shop ) that the Supersprint header and exhaust I will be putting on the car be coated. I have used Jet Hot in the past on my old classic chevy show cars and the coating is awsome for reducing temps and increasing HP on high output/high temp motors.

I was quoted $165 for header coating and about $15 per foot for exhaust. Not a bad deal.

 

I haven't done it on the MINI but I have had some V8 headers done in the past.
Helps a lot with under hood temps and gas scavenging.
IMO it's a good mod. Maybe not at the top of the list but definitely not a waste of money.

 

This thread seems to be related, even if it's not the same - in case you haven't already seen it. Otherwise, I'm unfortunately not much help here.

 

Sounds very interesting. Keep us uptodate on this one. I'd be very interested in this. BTW, do you have a link that gives more information on Jet Hot coating? I went to those sites you linked but they're not in English. Sorry.
