Denso Iridium = Smoother Ride?

Or am I just crazy? I just installed a new set of Denso Iridium IK20 spark plugs and set of new Kingsborne plug wires (but still with the OEM coil). It seems to me like my (basically stock) 2005 MCSC with 7500 miles on it is running smoother with a more contented engine sound. Now, is it me just subconsciously rationalizing the $85 I just spent? Is it the fact that the new plug wires are yellow? Is it the cylinder number on the wires? Or can these spark plugs really and truly have this magical effect?

mine seemed to smooth out a bit, i went with a colder range plug Denso IK22s i think because i have a 15% pulley. Also check your MPG. I found that i got a few extra miles per tank. (magic)

I just put in Kingsborne plug wires and it made my car run tremendously better. It just feels like it is running stronger, smoother acceleration, definately more power (butt dyno tested).

Such a difference, I almost think there is something wrong with the OEM plug wires!!!

I cannot believe I did not do it sooner. The best mod for the money to date.

If you noticed a difference, you had a problem with your old parts, plain and simple.

There is something to be said for enhancing the plugs (iridium) and ignition (wires/coil) bits. I doubt if you will see an increase in hp or torque, but there does seem to be an improvement (especially if you are running the pisswater that California sells as premium gas) in how the engine combusts the gas. Whether that translates into improved gas mileage, it is possible. I guess the best way to determine if there is an improvement in gas mileage would be to do a before and after test (using calculated mileage - not the computer on the car if you have one).
