I just got my '05MCS and traded in my '02 MC. My '02 had 15" holeys (which I still have - but do not want to use - do not like the look), since I bought a set of 16" V-spokes. The runflats were changed from the OE Goodyear Eagle NCT5 to the same tire in the non-runflat construction - had them sent from Europe. Goodyear sells the stock 195/65R16 in both a runflat and non-runflat option - but only in Europe...

The new Mini has 16" Dunlop runflats and I do not like the ride and want to go back to a non-runflat construction. In lieu of trying to get the non-runflat Eagle NCT5, I was looking to get an optional size which does not create clearance issues or major speedometer issues.

The new tire has to be a Goodyear/Dunlop since I work at a Goodyear location (not in tires though). The 205/60R16 looks like the closest in terms of OD, however I see many posts about other aspect ratios...

No special needs - I just drive the car daily - no track or anything like that!

You want the 205/50 16's. That's what I changed to based on input from this site, Alex at Tire Rack, and an article in Grass Roots Motorsports on the MCS tire size choices. I also have lowered my MCS with H Sport springs and the fit perfectly. I have been running S-03's from Bridgestone for about 13k miles.
