MINI Hauling.. What have you carried?

Had a new mini chalenge last night and thought it would be a good discussion thread.

I hauled a 6 foot dinning room table from Ikea(about an hour away) to my house. It was a tough fit but with the help of an innocent MINI admirer I go it in there. It just proves the the saying "little on the out side Big on the inside".

So what have you hauled in your MINI?

A dryer, a load of cut up banana trees, 12 bags of top soil, $80 worth of plants. When we hauled the plants and the dirt, I had my husband and one of my kids with me at the time

1. 27 inch wega, boxed. All we had to do was fold down the rear seats, i had a passenger. The box was a pinch away from its' surroundings.

2. 60 mini toys, tent, lawn chair, two slot car track boxes (2-3 feet long), bags of cleaning supplies, jump starter, my size barbie, trophies and misc display items... and still had room to spare.

Nothing

I haul nothing in my MINI. The same week I bought my MINI I bought an 86 chevy van, primer gray with a cracked windshield, no rear view mirror, no drivers seatbelt, one bad headlight, one bad taillight, and a bad brake caliper .....so it wickedly pulls into oncoming traffic under hard breaking.....and get this..... NO REVERSE. .... It is a piece of crap and I use it only to haul stuff like lumber, lawnmowers...etc. all the things that I had hauled previously in my other cars and totally destroyed the interiors with. I even managed to crack the dash on my plymoth laser once when on a very cold night I pushed a ladder into the dash....looked like someone smacked their had on it. I always scratched the crap out of the bumpers. and I swear the smell of gasoline will never leave once a bit of it spills!!

Best $230 i spent was to buy that van. Anyway, I have had my car for 2 and half years and I still have new car smell!!! I LOVE IT!

I've hauled 4 17 in wheels and 4 loose tires.

I'd like to look into hauling a tear drop trailer. If a VW beetle can pull one, a MINI certainly can.

With the seats UP... 16 slate tiles mix of square and rectangle, and two ten pound bags of hardwood mulch.

Another trip... 40 stone edging pavers....

With the seat down, two metal tractor seat bar stools (the ones that used to be in the Gateway Country Stores) and 30 2 liter bottles of soda. Plus two adults and a cocker spaniel plus a suitcase and computer bag....

Normally a stroller (when not hauling other stuff)

I work in the bicycle industry and recently for a photo shoot I had 3 titanium mountain bike frames and 9 titanium road frames plus 2 sets of deep section carbon wheels inside my MCS with doors, hatch and windows closed.
The photographer and my coworkers were in awe.

I've hauled 4 S-Lites before and a commercial BBQ grill... the grill would not fit in any other cars that we have without having to leave the trunk open... but in the MINI we can close the rear!

When I moved from VA to CT I fit my computer desk, disassembled, and every bit of clothing that I owned into my MINI. I could still see out the back too everything fit perfect. I still averaged, according to the trip computer, about 80 MPH and 32.5 MPG. My real workd MPG was about 29.5 after I did the math. Not bad with the car near GVWR for a 10 hour drive at 80 plus all the time.
