Anyone have this problem. Has just recently seen this, coming out of the movies other nite, I looked over and say a dim light up top. And the upper brake light below the spoiler is stayin dimmly lit.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Since the brake lights are all controlled individually (though are lit all at the same time) by three separate outputs on the body control module, it's most likely this module causing the trouble. Some people have had issues with water from misconnected/misrouted sunroof drain tubes or leaky windshields (especially after replacement of the glass) dripping on the module (contained behind the passenger side kick panel). This causes corrosion, intermittent shorts and electrical leakage that frankly can make the car do strange things, since that module controls almost everything aside from the engine.

This would be my first choice in looking for the problem.

 

I passed a MCS on the freeway yesterday that had the upper brake light lit up even though he was not braking. Thought it was rather strange.
