Is anyone else going to this? https://www.zoomzoomlive.com/. I know it's a Mazda event but they're supposed to have MINIs available for comparison. Who knows, If I can't get my Cooper road worthy soon I might be in the market for an MX-5.

It's a Mazda road show! Quite a schedule. But that darn sound track--I can't get it out of my head: zoom, zoooom, zoom...zoom, zoooom, zoom...zoom, zoooom, zoom...

yeah yeah i bet they are gonna focus that the mini is fwd and so its inferior or they going to have a bone stock cooper (not the more comparible S) with 15's while the miata wears 17's . i went to a subaru one which had the top of the line tires and engines (2.5 250hp) equipped legacys but they were comparing it against with BASE volvo and 325i without pointing out they were at the bottom of the trim level... which really isn't all that fair . other events with other cars like this did the same . but i'm not doubting the miata is not as good performer, in fact i'm signing for it... anyone going to the sf one?

 

Who cares about Mazda anyways? It is a Mazda, as far as Japanese cars are concerned, they only have WRX STI, EVO and the legendery Skyliner, the rest is BS, like the Miata... They can compare Miata with Mini all day long, but I do not see the Miata in Top Gear, Car, and similar magazines, but in Europe and US they are putting the JCW S with luxury exotics on the track, that is the difference.I looked at the site, they claim Miata as REAL SPORTS CAR, what a BS, as if we have never seen a sports car before, they need BS to convince people to buy their products. As you can see from my post, no respect to Miatas, I think they are overrated, aged, funny looking cars, and yes I drove it, pretty fun, nothing beyond that, cheap imitation of real roadsters, no personality.
