Can you believe it is August already??

 

Well... I saw this Mini all day and night yesterday but I did see it after midnight so I am gonna make it an August sighting...

CR/WHT MCS driven by a 16y.o. who didn't know a THING about Mini history or the driving community. He didn't even know half the great things about his car.... he only knew it was new and fast Spoiled brat! Makes me sick that I work a fulltime job that kicks my be-hind sometimes and he gets one simply b.c daddy can afford it

 

White sitting in traffic this morning on the north side of 465, I saw a EB/W and an red/white MCS.

 

It's been MINI's on parade this week in my neck of the woods. Normally I'm lucky if I see 1 in a week. Yesterday there was a BRG/B MC on Exchange in Crete IL, A LY/W MCS on Steger Road in Sauk Village IL, and I played tag on the way home from Costco in Merrillville with a LY MC with black bonnet stripes. All drivers waved!

Today, I saw a Cool Blue MCC in University park IL where we work. The driver traded compliments with us at a stoplight. And later we saw a CR/B MC parked at a city park in Munster IN.

Looks like folks up here are starting to catch on....

8/11 This morning about 8:20 I saw a BRG/W or JB/W (not sure) on the Bluff and Summer went south. No wave back, I think he didn't see me at all.

EB/W MCS with some stickers on the window went east on 10th and Indiana Av. at 8:30 this morning. I didn't see him until he pass me... sorry I didn't wave.

Was that you guys I saw Sunday morning about 7:30 on 67 just East of I69? I was still half asleep, and didn't see the Mini till it was almost past me. I had to leave home at 6:00 to meet students up there to go diving.

First MINI sighting in a while. A LY/W cruising through campus by the Stadium at 9:50 this morning. Would have waved but didn't notice it until it passed.

 

Tuesday I saw a Blue/W MCS 2:45 pm at the outpatient offices in Danville. Saw a guy in the drivers seat and said, " I love your Mini!" He replied, "Thanks"

Later that day 6:12-ish I think I saw Boiler Up & Pete going north on Dan Jones at the light for hwy 36 It was a Gold/B MC with black Stripes.

Yesterday I went to D&R and saw a Whole lot of them and a BRG/B snagged my eye!

 

There is a BRG/W MC parked right outside my apartment right now. He/she is probably moving in for the school year. I'm gonna see if I can meet them.

Yesterday, I saw a 2005 DS/B MCS with black stripes on Bluff Rd. by the I465 went north. He flashed the head light with a nice wave to me. Beautiful...

 

Saw many more today at D&R. The BRG/B had sold. Almost bought a 2004 Indi BLue/W but it did not have the Sport pack!

 

Saw a fellow MINICCI member on 86th street @ noon today. BRG/BRG MC CVT.

 

Two from yesterday I forgot to post that I saw on Purdue Campus:

DS/Blk MCS parked outside the Ford (stadium) dining court.

A PW MC turned off of 26th and into the parking lot behind Smith.

 

The DS/Blk was probably my PS/Blk MCS. I was over at Cary visiting a friend of mine.

 

CR MCS East bound I-70 about 4:30pm Wednesday at mile 11

BRG MC East bound I-70 in Missouri. Unknown time. at Wright City.

Haven't seen one since (now in Denver).

Did see a Rolls though in eastern Colorado.

 

DS/B MCS on North I-465 right before the Keystone exit. I pull right behind him and he waved hand to me. Good, clean, and nice looking MINI.

 

LY/W MCS on the West St. went North in the downtown Indy this morning at 8:40. Also, a CR/W MCS park on the Indiana Ave. at 5:45 pm yesterday.

 

I just drove 1067 miles and did not see a single MINI.
