Suspension Do springs with Sway bar?
Do springs with Sway bar?
I'm getting a new rear sway bar next month, does anyone know if it's easier to do the rear springs when doing the rear swaybar? Or are the tasks completely independant of each other?
When you install the sway bar, you will need to remove the driver’s side rear strut, un-bolt the guide support for the passenger side rear strut and swing that strut towards the rear for clearance. So, although it could consolidate some efforts involved in a spring change, it’s not that much of work saver.
Doing the sway bar separately gives you a little more perspective on the effect of the bar with different spring rates.

Do them at the same time...
I jsut had my H-Sport Swaybar and H&R Springs done by Steve McConnell of MetroMotorsports in Atlanta....
Did an awesome job!
If you are going to do this job yourself, make sure you get a pair of spring compressors. Also make sure you mark the alignment of the rear strut assembly pieces.
