Strange White Powder

Hello All,
I have noticed a strange white powder that collects near the seat crack right at the seatbelt buckler. I appears to a plastic dust of sorts. It is only there if I haven't vacuumed in a while, which I am due for. Has anyone else noticed this and found out what it is and how to stop it. I'm thinking it must be a seatbelt related thing.

TJM

Sorry, I couldn't resist

Haven't noticed it on my car, just general dust in the creases.

Ihave it too. It is coming out of the seams in my leather....not to be funny or anything, but it reminds me of balled up deodorant...

Try not to drive across international borders without first vacuuming.

LOL this is the most CLASSIC thread I've ever read!

It IS your deodorant.

Or, you could take it to the dealer and for once when they say "they all do that" -- they'll be right!!

Just get a vacuum that has the crevice attachment and -poof- it's gone! Or, wear long-sleeved shirts.

Cheers!

I don't use deoderant, hate the stuff, makes me itch. No white powder on my seats. But then I dust the car at least once a week. Lots of gravel roads around here.

Ok, now you can all start ribbing MGear and me

Remind me not to get too close

The deodorant theory does sound pretty good, however.I'll have to check my seats since I DO use it

If you use deoderant that doesn't say, "antiperspirant" it won't make you itch. It's the aluminum hyro..something or other that makes you itch. Also, the aluminum can cause lost of memory and other signs of premature aging. Try Old Spice Classic Deoderant.

The theory is that alzheimer's may be caused by the brain's barrier to aluminum breaking down. As there is a lot more aluminum in foods like a potato than you'd get using topical underarm deodorant, deodorant is probably perfectly safe to use.
