R50/53 CRASH! caution, big pics!
Ouch. Most important thing in such an impact is that nobody was hurt. Did the airbag's deploy? Best wishes in getting your MINI looking just like new.

Yeah, the door is fine, no leaking, opens fine and closes fine. It also still latches fine and there is no trouble with the window. I think I got out rather unscathed, especially where it was hit I could have been screwed with the door.
Looks remarkably good. The only thing I would worry about is the 3rd picture, it looks like the door frame tore away from the side panel. I can see how they might make that look a little funny repairing it.
Ah, you should have posted these pics on mini2, so I wasn't just guessing on my replay over there.
The MINI puts up a bigger fight than you think! That really isn't much damage, thankfully.
I would again recommend bringing it to julian at sublime. My door and rear fendor were also damaged (though not as bad) and were repaired better than perfect...I actually like the paint job better than the factory paint.
I know he's a bit of a drive up north, but it is well worth it for it to be done the right way. He also worked with my limited budget too. Big shops don't care about you or your car.
(Also: I assume it wasn't your fault. But if it was, I ran a number of questions past my insurance co: if the charges are over 3 grand, you pay 5 grand in higher insurance over the next few years. If over 5 grand, you pay 8. So basically, if it's less than 8 grand, you're better off paying out-of-pocket.)

Right now I think it is under some debate as to where the fault lies. It wasn't my fault, but they just need to agree on that. Anything that would up the premium that much is terrible.
Obviously those numbers change with each company and policy, but the bottom line is, insurance companies make a lot of money, because they make sure they profit for all but the most major accidents.
Not to mention shops charge lower labor rates for out of pocket than for insurance work.

I don't know if this will help, but you may want to tell your insurance company that you are putting them on notice about the claim, but that it may well be paid for by the other party's insurance and if so, you do not want your company to get involved and you can request that they withdraw your claim if you do not need their services. If this accident is 100% her fault (don't know if your state recognizes comparative negligence), there is no reason your insurance company should pay anything and therefore your premiums should be unchanged, as you will not be cited for the accident and they have not paid anything out. Your policy conditions probably stipulate that you must report any accident promptly, so I would go ahead and put them on notice and if they want to send an adjuster out to see the damages, you must cooperate with their investigation. But I would tell them you do not want any checks issued until you can determine if her company acts as though they will be taking care of things.
Sorry to see that. You should start working with her insurance company right away, call your ins. comp. and let them know what happened but DO NOT FILE A CLAIM. After that call the lady's ins. and make a claim, they will ask for the police report and call the lady and ask her how it happened, you know the rest. Good Luck, say bye to Mini for quite some time.
