MINI Pirate fender decals, maybe not.

I just checked out the newest vendor Mini Pirate and while I appreciate people who come up with unique ideas, the fender decals just do nothing for me. In all fairness, I am not really a decal person, but those fender decals look too much like an afterthought to me. Most stripes and even flames at least look like they are part of the car.
Cheers,
H

it is an odd panel to cover. i think its just a fad brought on by the special edition minis coming out.

I've not done any decals either, but I do like and welcome the innovations being explored by this vendor. Being UK based, I think their take on graphics will be slightly different from what we have commonly seen here, and that is a good thing...people are always looking for something a bit different and unique. It appears they also work w/ classic Minis and Smarts...sounds like a fun outfit.

I recommend we broaden our horizons a bit...for example, what if a Union Jack or U.S. flag roof graphic (or other graphic, of course) was able to be extended as a theme to a different part of the car...like the boot or wing area. It would then serve to integrate the design more thoroughly across the car, not just on the (face it, less visible) roof. Heretofore, only bonnet stripes or wing mirrors were suitable spots for this kind of integration. So maybe we don't need to think of the fender graphic as a stand alone piece, but a piece to use w/ other graphics. That's just my take... trust me, some folks will get their imagination around these items and do great things.

Hi guys....Mini Pirate here. Just to let you all know, we brought out our A panel decals before the launch of the Parklane/Checkmate derivatives from BMW...so we are unique in what we do.

Our main aim is to offer the Mini world something new...we don't do Roof graphics or Bonnet Stripes, Mini Pirate is all about being different and individual just like the Mini. We can even custom design anything you may want. And our catalogue is expanding to new designs all the time.

JDS, thanks for the comments. Please check out our website and if anyone wants a copy of our catalogue - just let me know.

Hey, STLMini, the shipping charge (£10 sterling) just covers ourselves for insurance, and the fact that all our decals are shipped out in card tubes for protection. And we are shipping all over the globe.

We can do somekind of discount if we get bulk orders...so get ordering.

Maybe, I've been involved with Mini2 since late 2001 and know Mr Mullett well.

Well put. And, you get the award for the best use of the word "heretofore" in a sentence on NAM!

Though the angled graphics on the rear window or boot don't light my fire personally, I appreciate the option being made available for those out there.

I'd be interested to see the a pic of the emblem decal applied to an actual emblem.
