Rev limiter removed

Good Morning

I need some analysis. I have a 2003 MCS. Shortly after purchasing the car I had power chip installed which removed the rev limiter among other things. About 1 year ago I had a local dealership install version 39 of the software which should have put the limiter back on. Then I had the MTH added.

Here is the issue, we need, for testing purposes of some of my mods, to put the software back to stock. We have reloaded the software file that was downloaded before we sent it to Franz at MTH for his modifications. It's my understanding that this file should have the stock rev limiter in place it does not. I can still rev to 7300 rpm.

The conclusion we are coming to is that the local dealership did not "scrub" my ECU before they uploaded versions 39. As a result the no rev limiter that Powerchip set up is still there. Does this make sense and how can I check it other than have the dealership redo it's stuff?

Thanks

Bob

are you sure they even did it the recoding of the new program?

Odd if they did n you still have no limiter.

Why would a software company make a flash that removes ur redline rather than your top speed govenor
